Carbon Farming Med
The 2nd Carbon Farming MED consortium meeting was held from November 25th to 27th, 2024 in Abruzzo, Italy, in the lovely seaside town of San Vito Chietino. After introductions by the hosts, CREA, and a presentation from the Interreg Project Officer, Guillaume Javourez, the partners discussed the various work packages, learned more about the pilot farms, and meeting some of the external participants in the project, such as Majella Park and a Cinque Terre vineyard owner. The final day was a site visit to an experimental site called Fattoria Di Vaira. Spirits are high as the first year of the project comes to an end, and the new year begins. If you’d like to learn more about the project or be involved, please contact Daniel

DigitAF
EURAF Policy Briefings form part of WP1 (“tools for policy makers”), and the DigitAF web page is automatically updated as new versions are saved on Zenodo.  A Tools, Data and Projects Catalogue is available through WP2 (“tools for practitioners and advisors”), and new cross-project working groups have been created on economics, tree selection and carbon tools.  WP3 (“tools for beneficiaries”) focuses on value chains, product maps, certification, mapping agroforestry farms and soil health tools. WP4 (“living labs and virtual spaces”) coordinates living labs, data sharing protocols, and regional knowledge hubs. DigitAF works closely with its sister project Reforest to strengthen agroforestry knowledge and advocacy in Europe.
